WELCOME TO OUR CAMP

I organise intensive horseback archery camps in the high Kyrgyz mountains, combining traditional horseback archery, breathtaking landscapes, and authentic nomadic life.

Train in the traditional martial art of horseback archery, surrounded by spectacular mountain landscapes.

Stay in a private yurt next to local nomads, ride through wild valleys to alpine lakes and waterfalls, join the herders in their daily work, and end the day with a traditional mountain sauna.

Your experience will also be captured in a professional group video, like the one shown below.

Nomad Warrior Camp 2027

Day 1:

Early morning meeting in front of Koisha Hotel in Bishkek, followed by a pre-arranged taxi transfer to the village (6–8 hours). Get to know your horse during a 10 km ride to the camp (2,700 m above sea level, 2-3 hours). First ground archery lesson in the evening.

Day 2:

Morning of ground archery training (2–3 hours). Afternoon of horseback archery training (2–3 hours).

Day 3:

Morning of ground archery training (2–3 hours). Afternoon of horseback archery training (2–3 hours). Traditional steam sauna heated with a wood-burning stove.

Day 4:

Horse trek to beautiful waterfalls and a high-mountain lake (3,550 m above sea level, 6–7 hours) with a lunch break.

Day 5:

Morning of ground archery training (2–3 hours). Afternoon of horseback archery training (2–3 hours).

Day 6:

Morning of ground archery training (2–3 hours). Afternoon of horseback archery training (2–3 hours). Traditional steam sauna heated with a wood-burning stove.

Day 7:

Horse trek to beautiful high-mountain lake (3,400 m above sea level, 3-4 hours) with a lunch break. Ground archery training before sunset.

Day 8:

Morning of ground archery training (2–3 hours). Afternoon of horseback archery training (2–3 hours). Traditional steam sauna heated with a wood-burning stove.

Day 9:

Ride back down to the village on horses, then return to Bishkek by pre-arranged taxi, arriving at night.

Join the cattle drive to the summer pastures at the beginning of the season, or help bring the herds back down during the closing of the season.

15–24 MAY (opening of the seasson)

5-14 SEPTEMBER (closing of the seasson)

Day 1:

Moving up to the mountain camp on horseback 10km (2,700 m, 3–4 hours), together with the seasonal transhumance of our cattle to the summer pastures a traditional cultural beginning of the herding season in spring. Ground archery lesson (2–3 hours).

Day 3:

Morning of ground archery training (2–3 hours). Afternoon of horseback archery training (2–3 hours). Traditional steam sauna heated with a wood-burning stove.

Day 4:

Morning of ground archery training (2–3 hours). Afternoon of horseback archery training (2–3 hours).

Day 5:

ATTENTION:

The September program follows the same schedule in reverse, as we are finishing the herding season. On the first day, we drive directly to our mountain camp. On the penultimate day, we bring the cattle back down to the village, marking the end of the season. On the final day, after morning training, we depart for Bishkek.
